CONTACT RECEPTION FOR MORE INFORMATION ESG RiversMeet already has 10 Mitsubishi Air Source heat pumps which run the power for the sites air handling and heating. The new initiative for 2019 is to install 3 ESG air source heat pumps that are much more efficient than the current system. By installing a new system working alongside the existing system means RiversMeet can become 50% more efficient than it currently is with Electricity usage and costs. Combined with a plant room with new chemical dosing equipment, revised air conditioning to the pool and installation of new inverters for the 3x3kw pool pumps brings RiversMeet into a new Eco system. As a main user of power in Gillingham we will always strive to be more eco-friendly. Lighting At RiversMeet we try and ensure that a suitable lighting plan is in place for certain activities. We also use efficient light bulbs where possible. Current plans are to replace around 75% of our lighting to LED natural lighting in some areas of the building. Recycling Recycling is one of the easiest ways to help the environment, not only does it help preserve natural resources, but also reduces the waste sent to landfill sites. Please help us reduce our waste by using the recycling bins around the centre Vegware As an on-going project into reducing waste, the café has invested in disposable food, drinks, and cutlery from Vegware. Vegware offers a better alternative than recycled or recyclable food containers, as it can be directly composted. Food often contaminates recyclable packaging, so being able to combine the two simplifies the process as well as providing a product that can be composted and used as a fertilizer within 12 weeks.
